i have now been spending about a week trying to find adverts for my 'pop rock' artists i have analysed, such as Pink's music video and album , however it is hard to get hold of past adverts or poster/billboards for the intended artist or even to look for advert's for my genre that me and my group have been analysing.
I have only got two adverts analysed which is pink and greenday, others are hard to get hold of.

Music video's analysis's
i have finished the analysis's on the music video's and i have found that most of them contain abstarct images, different paces and either lots of colour or the use of non at all.
In my video i would like to use something fast paced with a narrative. I like the fashion and style used throughout all the different artist's that present 'pop rock'. I think that i would like to use a girl with blonde hair just like the ones in the music video's such as, Pink and Avril Lavigne.

Analysis of greenday analysis
I have now done my greenday analysis and i really didntl ike it at all!!
the colours were all wrong i believe and it didnt appeal to me so i doubt it will appeal to other audience's.
The whole theme was about death and blood with an image of a heart on the front. i believe that it was most definately aimed at the male audience, with dark colours used and the paretnal advisory sticker at the bottom connoting that there is language which most people would find unacceptable
i think metro station and greenday haven't really added much to there albums and overall my favourite was 'No Doubt' with the use of colours, narrative and it really appealed to me, im hoping my group will want to use elements from this on our cd cover as much as i do.

Blink 182 cd cover analysis
I have now also finsihed my 'Blink 182' cd cover analysis.
I realy didnt liek this cover as it didnt really have nothing about it which i believe would attract any type of audience. It hadnt got anything that stood out at all
i wont be using any ideas from this one for my product design, i hope my group agree too.

'No Doubt' album cover analysis
i have now finished my analysis for this album cover.
I liked this one as i believe it contained everything an album covers needs: a narrative, the main artist at the front in a long shot, bold colours being used and the title being noticable.
I chose this one the analyse because is grabbed my attention and drawn me in.
It is also ranged to all classes which i believe is good as is reaches a wider audience and therefore more people will buy it. It is also not really a set gender that it is aimed at, it is both for the male and female audience. The tone of the album also was quite dull and moody but a twist about it which is why i feel it wil sell and why it relates to the 'pop rock ' genre really well as no one knows what to expect.

Avril lavigne cd cover analysis
Today i finsihed avril lavignes cd cover analysis.
I liked this one as it contained lots of girly 'pop rock' elements and as i would like our album cover to also be aimed at the female teenage audience it appealed to me.
The colours of pink's and whites used represented the funky girly stereotypical style of the genre. It hasn't got a specific narrative or storyline and i think it should of because it would of looked mroe appealing.
I liek this cd cover and would like a female artist in my main product.

Metro station album cover analysis
I have just completed the second one of my 6 album cover analyses of 'metro station'.
It is totally the opposite of how 'Pinks' was, there was no central picture of the band and the main colour was black, however the way they had the fotn really large in the bottom right habnd side in bright colours, still gave the bands nature and the genre away nicely without being overwhelming. The band could of made it more obvious whom the album was targetted at as it didn't have nay specific elements to follow to give away any hints who it was for.
i was not keen on using this album cover as an idea for my 'pop rock' song.
